spent the morning reading about the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, which is today April 29, and thinking about how best to  remember it here on DoNY. Then I stumbled upon the powerful riot photographs of ATOMIC Hot Links, on Flickr. He has a few dozen photos of it in fantastic photo set there. These are 24 of my favorites, but definitely visit his feed to see the rest of his photos as a slideshow. In that format, they are even more powerful.

These photos make me feel sad. The burnt car carcasses remind me of bodies. Although there is no comparison between the two, I find the charred cars revolting. What do the photos make you feel? And more importantly, how far do you think America has come with police brutality since then?We cannot display this gallery
