Crown Heights Blacks and Jews Still Divided?


he Skylight Gallery exhibit commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Crown Heights Riots reviews the community’s efforts to heal itself after the riot and examines the ongoing state of cooperation between the neighborhood’s black and Jewish residents. Does it paint too rosy a picture of the new Crown Heights?

The Forward, a Jewish daily published in Manhattan, reports that the community is still highly divided. Brooklyn blogger Ron Howell posted a link to the Forward article and video exploring these tensions.
